The Study of Literati Novels and the Discussion on its Connotation Boundary

自夏志清在《文人小说家和中国文化——对〈镜花缘〉的重新评价》一文中提出"文人小说"的概念后,围绕它的研究就未曾停止过。从小说的功能定位、编创方式、语言形式、题材选择等方面切入,梳理文人小说的相关研究成果,为"文人小说"确立一个相对合理的概念范畴,即:由文人独立创作且主要依靠其虚构想象才能够完成的,不注重区分语言形式的小说。

Since Xia Zhiqing proposed the concept of ＂literati novel＂ in the article The scholar-novelist and Chinese culture-A reappraisal of Jinghuayuan,the research about it has never stopped.This article attempts to comb the relevant research achievements of the literary novels through several aspects,such as functional positioning,creative way,language form,and the choice of subject matter,to establish a relatively reasonable conceptual category about ＂literati novel＂.And the novel,which is created independently by the literati and relies mainly on the author＇s imagination,is a literary novel that does not pay attention to the form of the language.
