The Memory for Place and the Nostalgia of Author

地域对作家自我身份的形成与塑造,故乡在作家记忆中留下的思念与忧伤,使作家在进行自传创作时,自觉地融入对故乡之地的人物与生活、文化与历史的描述,地域记忆总是与作家乡愁密切联系、相互渗透,并在作家的自传中留在清晰的印记.本文通过解读阿卜杜·拉赫曼·穆尼夫的自传《一座城市的传记——四十年代的安曼》,分析地域对作家的自我身份作用,以及乡愁在这部作品中的反映.

The effect of a region in forming and shaping one’s identity, and the nostalgia and melancholy that a particular hometown has imprinted in an author＇s memory, together influnce the author when writing his or her autobiography. This affects their conscious description of people and life, as well as culture and history of his or her hometown. The memory of a place and the nostalgia of author always connects to each other and affects each other, which leaves a clear mark in the author’s autobiography. By the interpreting Abdu Al- Rahman Munif ＇s autobiographical work Story of a City： A Childhood in Amman, this paper seeks to analyze the effect of the place on an author’s identity,and the reflection of his nostalgia in this work.
