The Documentary Theatre Affected by the Post-modern Culture

文献戏剧就是将历史上实存的文献材料（电影、投影、录音、扩音器、机器、多元播放器等）直接搬用到舞台上的戏剧。它的目的是寓教于乐。它试图揭示真相,尤其试图站在反抗权威和主流观点的立场上,为民众说话并进行启蒙。这一点符合后现代对一切元叙事都进行怀疑和颠覆的精神。因此,20世纪20年代产生的文献戏剧在20世纪60年代后成为后现代戏剧的重要组成部分。

The Documentary Theatre focuses on the historical documented background of an event by using film,projections,recordings,loudspeakers,machinery,and multiple playing areas,whose end is to teach and to entertain. It tries to discover the truth,to resist the authority and mainstream ideas,to enlighten people,which reflects the post-modern spirit of overthrowing meta narration. Therefore,the Documentary Theatre born in 1920 s has become a part of post-modern Theatre since 1960 s.
