Objective To investigate the effect of quality control circle( QQC) activities on the incidence of drug-induced falls in stroke patients. Methods The QCC was set up in the Department of Neurology, the QCC activities were carried out,and the incidence of drug-induced falls in stroke patients in the first 3 months of the activities was statistically analyzed. The QQC management tools were used to analyze the causes, and then formulate feasible countermeasures and implement them. After the implementation of the countermeasures, the incidence rates of drug-induced falls in stroke patients were compared before and after the QQC activities. Results After the implementation of QCC activities, the average incidence rate of the drug-induced falls in stroke patients in the Department of Neurology decreased from 5.56%( 12/216) to 1.44%( 3/209).It greatly improved the safety of patients' medication and ensured the quality and safety of medical care and nursing, and alleviated the doctor-patient relationship to some extent. Conclusion Carrying out the QCC activities not only can significantly reduce the incidence rate of drug-induced falls in stroke patients, improve medical quality and safety management, but also can improve the communication between medical workers and patients, deepen the degree of quality management tools of the circle members, and improve their ability to find and solve problems.
