The movie Seediq Bale shows the variation of the identity of the Seediq people in Taiwan.Before 1895,the Seediq took utux and ancestral as their identity.After the colonial invasion,their traditional sense of identity was impacted.Colonists used various ways to force the dislocation of identity among the indigenous people including the Seediq people,eventually leading to Wushe event.Under the colonial rule,the identity of the Seediq people was lost.
