摘要
随着综合国力的提升,我国越来越多的企业已经或开始进入海外市场。要在国际市场站稳脚跟,就要创立自己的品牌,而商标的英译,就成了必不可少的一步,一个好的译名能够给企业带来巨大的经济效益。本文结合商标翻译实例,探讨品牌翻译的几种常见方法,即音译、直译、意译以及音译和意译相结合的方法。
With the rapid development of China's economy, more and more Chinese enterprises are ex-ploring their international market. While one primary phase to successfully implement Chinese firms' globalstrategies is the right translation of brand names, which may bring huge economic benefits. The thesis in-tends to explore several translation methods --- transliteration, literal translation, free translation, combi-nation of transliteration and free translation from the analysis of many issues in theoretical as well aspractical aspects.
