识解理论视角下的《诗经》英译本分析——以许渊冲和理雅各译本为例

A Study of English Versions of Shi Jing Based on Construal Theory:a Case Study of XU Yuan-chong's and James Legge's Translations

识解作为一种重要的认知方式,决定了对应的语言表述。依据认知语言学的识解理论,对场景的不同识解会产生不同的语言表述,语言表述的形式反映讲话者或作者对场景的识解方式。论文从识解理论的四个维度即辖域和背景、视角、突显、详略度出发,选取《诗经》中具有代表性的诗节为研究对象,对许渊冲和理雅各的英译本进行了分析与评判,旨在从识解理论视角下探索两位译者在翻译《诗经》过程中出现的差异及其原因。

Construal,as an important cognitive mode,decides the equivalent language expression.From the perspective of the construal theory,the meaning of language is the speaker or writer’ s construal in the context.The linguistic form directly reflects the speaker or writer’ s construal mode.In certain context,people may have different ways to construe.This thesis selects some representative poems from Shi Jing to analyze Xu Yuanchong’ s and James Legge’ s English translations based on the four aspects（scope and background,perspective,salience,specificity）of the construal theory in order to find differences between the two translations and the reason.
