山西警务公所的设置,在继承山西巡警总局时期建设成效基础上,其组织体系更加完善,各部职权划分更加细密。中国早期现代化是在列强与外力的冲击下缓慢发展变化的,清末山西警察"新政"是中国早期现代化的缩影。虽然其并不能改变清王朝覆亡的悲剧,但却为山西警察组织体系规范化建设奠定了基础。

On the basis of inheriting the achievements of the construction of the general patrol bureau in Shanxi Province,the establishment of Shanxi Police Office had improved its organizational system and made the division of functions and powers of all departments more detailed.China＇s early modernization was slow to develop and change under the impact of foreign powers and foreign forces,and the＂new policy＂of Shanxi police in the late Qing Dynasty was the epitome of China＇s early modernization.Although it did not change the tragedy of the fall of the Qing Dynasty,it laid a foundation for the standardization of the police organization system in Shanxi.
