摘要
本文对比分析了材料类论文英文摘要的人工撰文和机器译文,归纳了后者容易出现的问题：术语翻译错误、语序错误、单词的漏译与赘译、时态、语态错误等。其错误原因与摘要中专业词汇较多、句子较长、句型复杂有很大关系。鉴此,为了减少和避免上述错误,译者应进行包括专业术语核查、句子切分、语序调整等方面的译前、译后编辑。
This study aims to reveal similarities and differences between human-written English abstracts of material science research articles and their machine translations. Machine translations tend to result in wrong terminologies,incorrect word orders,omissions,redundancy,temporal and voice errors,etc. Therefore,in pre-and post-editing of machine translated texts,verification of terminology,sentence segmentation and word-order adjustment are needed to reduce errors in machine translation.
