In bridge construction, there are two main ways and techniques for setting up temporary supports： sulphur mortar temporary support sand box temporary support. The two construction techniques have their own characteristics. By analyzing and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the application of the two temporary supports in the bridge construction, it is suggested that the construction technology of the sand box temporary support should be used as far as possible.
