《周易》修辞观述论

On the Outlooks on Rhetoric Conceived in the Zhou yi

《周易》是中华传统经典中的重要文献。《易传》最早将"修辞"二字连用并多次涉及到语用与修辞问题,其所体现的修辞观大致可概括为一体、五式、二特色:"修辞立其诚",把修辞实践同道德提升密切相联,二者相辅相成,进而去建立营守功业,是《周易》修辞观的宗旨;求实信、遵伦序、善婉曲、务节慎、合语境,是《周易》提倡的修辞的基本方法和要求;将修辞与道德养成相结合、辩证发展,是《周易》修辞观的主要特色。

Zhou yi is a very important work of the Chinese traditional classics. It was the Yi zhuan that first used the two characters .xiu 修 （lit. , modification） and ci 辞 （speech） together and time and again involved issues of pragmaties and rhet-oric. Integration, five modes, and two characteristics could best summarize the outlooks of rhetoric conceived in the Zhou yi. Its emphasis on a ＂figure of speech being based on the establishment of sincerity＂ integrates figures of speech with moral improvement. These two aspects are mutually complementary and could further enable people to advance their businesses and careers-this is the purpose of rhetoric in the Zhou yi. The five modes include keeping one＇s word, following human moral order, being good at euphemism, being modest and careful, making one＇s statement according to the context, which are the basic methods and requirements for rhetoric advocated by the Zhou yi. The two characteristics consist of the combi-nation of rhetoric and moral formation and their dialectical development.
