On Urban Public Space Design Based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

马斯洛需要层次理论通过对人的一系列内在需求进行等级划分,揭示人类欲望与外部环境之间的潜在关系。城市公共空间是人进行社会、物质、情感交流的重要载体,人本主义和人文关怀是现代城市公共空间设计的首要准则。本文从马斯洛需要层次理论角度构建城市居民的环境需要层次模型,试图把握人的环境需求与公共空间服务维度之间的内在关系,以人性化视角观照城市公共空间设计,探讨更加以人为本的设计对策。

Maslow＇s hierarchy of needs reveals the potential relationship between human desires and external environment through the hierarchical division of a series of internal human needs. Urban public space is an important carrier for people to conduct social, material and emotional exchanges. Humanism and humanistic care are the primary criteria for the design of modern urban public spaces. This paper constructs a hierarchical model of urban residents＇ environmental needs from the perspective of Maslow＇s hierarchy of needs and tries to grasp the internal relationship between human environmental needs and the dimensions of public space services, and looks at urban public space design from a personized perspective to explore more people-oriented measures of design.
