A detailed description of construction diversion of SETH Hydro-junction in Xinjiang is presented in this paper. A staged diversion scheme is recommended for the project based on detailed comparisons between the tunnel diversion scheme and the staged diversion scheme from the aspects of diversion standard,the design flood,release structures,total construction time and total investment of the diversion works. Detailed discussions on the design flood of the hydro-juction,diversion procedures,as well as the design of the diversion works are given as the recommended scheme.
