The image data of geographical conditions is the important source for production and application of surveying and mapping. The article introduced the basic principle and method of automatic registration of satellite remote sensing images based on the Auto Sync module of ERDAS IMAGINE in detail, and verified the precision with an test, which would provide reference for the theory and method of image registration in other projects.
