From Nolli's Map to Vasi's Vedutas: Introduction of an Innovative Study of Rome's Micro-Urban Space in 18th Century

美国俄勒冈大学建筑系泰斯教授主导的研究团队,研发了题为"意象城市:朱塞佩瓦齐的罗马壮游"的网络地图网站,网站以意大利建筑师诺利1748年绘制的罗马地图为基础,以意大利版画家瓦齐1761年出版的《古今罗马胜景》为核心,为18世纪罗马微观城市空间研究提供了二维地图和三维绘画并置互动的创新信息化平台,并籍此展现了瓦齐城绘的独特意象,包括与诺利地图的高度匹配、对罗马城市的建筑学解剖、结合现代场景的时光之旅以及构筑历史资源的科普之窗,对我国历史城市图绘研究整合现代信息技术的发展方向有较大的启迪和借鉴意义。

The research team led by Professor James Tice of the Department of Architecture at the University of Oregon has developed a website named ＂Imago Urbis： Giuseppe Vasi＇s Grand Tour of Rome＂ to provide a network map. The website is based on the map of Rome known as La Pianta Grande di Roma, drawn by the Italian architect Giambattista Nolli in 1748, and uses for its core the drawings in the book ＂Delle Magnificenze di Roma antica e moderna＂, published by Italian printmaker Giuseppe Vasi in 1761. An innovative information platform integrating 2D maps and 3D drawings with juxtaposition and interactivity is provided for the study of micro-urban space in Rome in the 18 th century. The website presents a unique image of Vasi＇s vedutas, involving matching Nolli＇s map with high-precision architectural dissection of the city of Rome, combining time travel with modern scenes, and constructing a scientific study and learning window for the historical resources. It is greatly enlightening and significant for studying the integration of modern information technology with historical vedutas in our country.
