亨廷顿是著名的国际政治理论家,其研究发展中国家的政治发展理论在世界范围内有着广泛影响和重要地位。《变化社会中的政治秩序》是亨廷顿政治发展理论的奠基之作,文章深入研究亨廷顿改革理论的内涵并结合中国的实际对该理论进行了简要评价,指出了亨廷顿的改革理论对于当代中国改革开放的指导意义。

Samuel P. Huntington is a famous political theorist well-known in the world,and his theory of political development in developing countries has a wide range of influence and receives much attention in the world. Political Order in Changing Societies is the foundation of his political development theory. This paper gives an incisive analysis of the connotations of Huntington＇s reform theory with a consideration of the reality of China and points out the great significance of his reform theory to the reform and opening-up in contemporary China.
