“第三空间”的探索——后殖民理论视域下中国文学外译研究

Exploring “The Third Space”: The Translation of Chinese Literature from the Perspective of Post-colonial Theory

后殖民主义理论家霍米·巴巴提出了"文化杂合"的概念,认为异质文化之间存在着一种"第三空间",对此空间的探寻有助于消解帝国主义的话语霸权,促进文化之间的平等对话与交流。本文试图结合霍米·巴巴这一理论,论述当下中华文化外译过程中,在文学选材、外译策略及译者模式方面打破二元对立、建构"第三空间"的重要性。

Post- colonial theorist Homi Bhabha brought forward the concept of ＂cultural hybridity＂ and made known the existence of ＂the third space＂ between different cultures. The exploration of this third space will contribute to the disintegration of imperial cultural power and the establishment of an equal dialogue between cultures. Drawing on Homi Bhabha＇ s cultural translation theory, this paper aims to emphasize the importance of the dismantling of binary oppositions and the exploration of ＂the third space＂ during the translation process of Chinese literature.
