This article analyzes the image of two artists in the Hoffman novel The Live View of the Male Cat Moore by comparing Moore＇s and Chrysler＇s different behaviors of love,art and its relationship with the outside world.There are two possible living conditions of Mann-era artists.One common theme in Hoffman＇s literary works is the integration of artists in the real world.In these conflicts,artists have two choices：They can,like Moore,give up their artistic problems,actively adapt to society,or adhere to artistic ideals and endure isolation like Chrysler.
