英语成语翻译中的对等原则及具体应用

成语是一个国家文化的组成部分之一,和汉语词汇构成中拥有成语一样,英语国家也有着丰富的成语。将英语成语翻译得简明得体,才能够有效地促进文化间的交流,但受诸多条件的限制,英语成语的翻译面临很多难题,而"对等原则"则为解决这些困扰提供了思路。本文通过分析英语成语的特点及来源,并依据"对等原则",探究在对等原则下的英语成语翻译,具有一定的现实意义。

Idioms are one of the components of a country＇s culture, as well as idioms in Chinese vocabulary. The concise and appropriate translation of English idioms can effectively promote the intercultural communication, but the translation of English idioms faces many problems due to the restrictions of many conditions, while the ＂principle of equivalence＂ provides ideas for solving these problems. This paper, by analyzing the characteristics and sources of English idioms, and according to the principle of equivalence, explores the translation of English idioms under the principle of equivalence, which has certain practical significance.
