Combined with the engineering example of a frame-shear structure with its basement roof cracked unusually,the paper discusses in detail the causes of the cracks in the basement floor and the influence of the cracks on the structural performance through field investigation,theoretical analysis and finite element simulation by SAFE.It puts forward the measures of the crack disposal and control which provide reference for the engineering of the kind to prevent the concrete cracking and crack disposal.
