摘要
利用Optisystem软件,文章分别对3种泵浦方式中掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)增益的影响因素进行了仿真分析。通过模拟仿真发现,当泵浦光的功率恒定时,EDFA的增益首先会随光纤长度的增加而提升,之后当光纤长度增加到某一值时,增益会达到最大,接着逐渐下降。如果光纤的长度保持不变,在信号功率从0开始增加至5 m W范围内,EDFA增益会急剧下降,在信号功率从5 m W增加至100 m W范围内,EDFA增益逐渐趋于平缓接近于1。此外,掺铒光纤放大器在泵浦波长0.98μm以及1.48μm附近的增益达到最大值。
The Optisystem software was used to make stimulation analysis on the factors of gain index of erbium-doped optical fiber amplifier in three pumping modes in this paper. It was found that when pump power is fixed, the gain index increases firstly with the enlargement of erbium-doped fiber length, then when the fiber length reaches a certain value, the gain index has reached the maximum, and finally it decreases gradually. If the length of the fiber is fixed, the gain index will get a sharp drop when the signal power increases from zero to 5 m W. And when the signal power increases from 5 m W to 100 m W, the gain index tends to be flat to close to 1. In addition, the gain of erbium-doped fiber amplifier reaches the maximum value at the pump wavelength 0.98 μm or 1.48 μm.
