基于语料库的《经济学原理》两个汉译本中“some”的翻译研究

Translation of "Some" in the Two Chinese Versions of "Principles of Economics": A Corpus-based Study

本文基于自建英汉平行语料库,结合定性分析和定量分析,对《经济学原理》梁小民译本和曹乾译本中some的翻译进行了分析。经考察,两译本中some对应的翻译在选词上有一定差别。从某种程度上来说,梁译本侧重忠实于原文内容,曹译本在选词上更富于灵活变化且更加注重表达的流畅性。

The paper, based on a self-built English-Chinese parallel corpus, explores the translation of ＂some＂ in the two Chinese versions of ＂Principles of Economics＂ using both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The result shows that two Chinese versions are quite different in the choice of vocabulary in the translation of ＂some＂. To some extent, Liang focuses on faithfulness to the original content, while Cao is more flexible in the choice of words and pays more attention to the fluency of expression.
