Zhou Enlai's Historical Contribution to China's Reform and Development in His Later Years

周恩来同志晚年排除林彪、江青两个反革命集团的破坏和干扰,不顾身患绝症,鞠躬尽瘁,作出了历史贡献。他千方百计维护社会稳定,发展国民经济和扩大对外经济技术交流,为改革发展积累了经验;他及时调整对外关系,同西方大国实现关系正常化,为改革发展创造了良好外部环境;他保护和解放了大批干部,为改革发展奠定了组织基础,准备了领导核心。

Comrade Zhou Enlai,fighting against the gangs of Lin Biao and Jiangqing,makes historical contribution in his later years. He tries very hard to maintain social stability,develops the national economy,and expands the economic and technical communication with other countries which accumulates experience for reform. He adjusts the diplomatic relation and normalizes the relation with the western countries which creates good exterior environment. He also protects and liberates a lot of officials,which makes an organizational foundation for the reform and development with leading nucleus.
