语言语境制约下的中国民歌汉英翻译用词策略——以《中国新民歌选(汉英对照)》为例

The English-Chinese Translation Strategies of Chinese Folk Songs in the Constraints of Linguistic Context——A Case Study of The Selection of New Chinese Folk Songs(Chinese-English Comparison)

该文以《中国新民歌选(汉英对照)》为例,指出汉英翻译中的语言语境的功能,并强调在汉英翻译过程中要根据语言语境确定原文词义、把握和巧用语言的合理搭配、竭力消除语言歧义,以及注意语言及其词语组合时感情色彩的传达,充分发挥每个语言单位的作用,综合汉英两种语言的异同点,让读者更好地比对和领会它们的语言特色。

In Chinese-English translation,the translator＇s comprehension,selection and expression of the words is the basis of context translation;therefore,how to correctly understand the words in the specific linguistic context is the key of Chinese-English translation.In this thesis,by taking The China＇s Folk Songs（Chinese-English Edition） as an example,the functions of language context in Chinese-English translation,meanwhile,lays stress on assuring the words＇ original meaning and selecting the appropriate words in translating according to the linguistic context,eliminating words＇ ambiguity and conveying the words＇ affective color,in order to let readers better compare and understand Chinese and English.
