战国“厶敬”玺考释

An Interpretation on Gnomic Seals Sijing of the Warring States

文章考释战国＂厶（私）敬＂玺,认为＂私＂指燕居独处,＂私敬＂意思是在燕居独处时也要敬慎,与《玺汇》5693号＂敬厶（私）＂意思相同,都相当于儒家所说的＂慎独＂。

This paper gives an interpretation on gnomic seals sijing of the Warring States. It points out that the character si means living alone, the word sijing means that a gentalmen should maintain cautious even he lives alone. This seal is the same meaning as the gnomic seal jingsi which is the No.5693 in the book Compilation of Ancient seals. They all hold the same opinion with the word shendu which publicized by Confucianism.
