语言学习动机个案研究及启示--以韩语学习为例 被引量:2

A Case Study on the Motivation of the Foreign Language Learning and Its Enlightment——Taking Korean as an Example

摘要 各种学习动机在语言学习中所发挥的作用不同,动机本质比较复杂。针对两位来自中国的韩国交换生,采用半结构式访谈探讨出他们学习韩语的最原始动机--喜欢韩国文化。具体来说,一个学生喜欢韩剧里的故事情节,另外一个学生则喜欢韩国歌星和歌曲。在韩语读、写之前,他们俩都已有大约四年以上的韩语电视剧及韩国综艺节目的收听经历。同只接受正统的学校韩语教学的学习者相比,他们在语言的听、说、读、写四项成绩方面发展比较均衡,而且他们的后三项技能很大程度上得益于第一项技能——听。他们的韩语学习的成功经历验证了外语学习的一些原则的正确性并给各年龄段的外语学习、外语教学带来了众多有益的启示,此外,他们也验证了动机尤其是综合性动机在外语学习中发挥的真实作用。最后本研究对动机理论提出了一些延伸,完善了现阶段的理论。 All kinds of motivations play different roles in the foreign language learning and the nature of motivation is complex.This research conducts a semi-structured interviews on the two Chinese speaking Korean learners,exchanging students. One of the results of the study is that they share the same primitive motivation of learning Korean. And this motivation is that they both enjoy Korean culture, to be exact, one leaner likes the plot of Korean plays and the other one prefers Korean singers and songs. They had the same experience of at least four years' watching Korean TV plays and Korean entertainment programs before they can read and write Korean.Compared with the learner who receives the formal Korean language training, they highlight their well-balanced performance in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.Moreover, their listening contributes too much to their speaking, reading and writing skills.Their successful Korean learning experience proves the coreectness of the principles of foreign language learning and it provides all different group learners with many implications on foreign language teaching and learning.Moreover, they prove the real function of the motivation(especially integrative motivation) played in Korean learning. At last, this study enriches slightly the present theory concerned with motivation.
