从认知隐喻学的角度谈中英两国婚姻观念的差异

On the Differences of Marriage Concept between China and Britain:A Cognitive Metaphorical Perspective

认知语言学认为隐喻在人类的概念系统起着重要作用。隐喻植根于文化,是研究语言表达中文化信仰的重要来源。从汉语和英语报纸中选取了约300条新闻报道,基于这些新闻报道的真实语料来比较当代汉英婚姻隐喻表达,旨在通过分析汉英婚姻隐喻来揭示中英两国人婚姻观念的差异。

Cognitive linguistics holds that metaphor plays an important role in human conceptual system. Metaphor is rooted in culture and is an important source for studying cultural beliefs in language expressions. This paper selects about 300 news items from Chinese and English newspapers,and based on the real data of these news items,it compares the metaphorical expressions of marriage in contemporary Chinese and English languages. It aims to reveal the differences of marriage concept of Chinese and British people by analyzing the marriage metaphors in these two languages.
