作为劳伦斯的自传体小说,《儿子与情人》表达了作者在此后的文学生涯中持续关注的主题——两性伦理问题。评论家们对劳伦斯的其他作品都进行过两性伦理的解读和诠释,但是到目前为止,还鲜有学者从两性伦理去解读过《儿子与情人》。从文学伦理学的角度去分析该小说中的男主人公保罗对完美的两性关系的不断追求和探索,最终明白只有灵与肉的结合才能达到理想的爱情之巅。

As an autobiographic novel of D. H. Lawrence,Sons and Lovers explores the theme that will be Lawrence＇lifelong concerns in the future,that is,the sexual ethic problem. Scholars have interpreted the sexual ethic in his other novels,but up to now,no scholar has ever expounded it in Sons and Lovers. This paper,from the perspective of Literary Ethical Criticism,accounts for Paul＇s pursuit and exploration of the perfect sexual relationship to understand that only the combination of soul and flesh can people achieve ideal love.
