The Evolution and Enlightenment of the Anglo-American Urban Planning Education During the Past 100 Years

摘要 通过对英国和美国城市规划专业教育百年来发展历程的整理与分析,发现两国城市规划教育的发展演变动向与规律基本一致。文章归纳出英美两国城市规划专业教育发展的五个阶段与轮回转型过程。在此基础上,针对我国城市规划教育的现状,认为应该从明晰学科拓展和规划本体的关系、平衡理论研究和设计实践的关系、发挥教育评估委员会的积极作用等三方面入手,进一步完善我国的城市规划专业教育。 Through the collection and analysis of the development process of urban planning education in the UK and the USA during the past 100 years, the paper finds that the trend and the pattern of the evolution in the two nations are almost the same then further sums up the five stages and the cycle of transformation of the development of urban planning education in the UK and the USA. The enlightenment of the above-mentioned research findings upon the current urban planning education in China are: the connection between the discipline development and the planning body should be clarified; the theoretical research and the design practice should be balanced; the initiative of the Education Evaluation Committee should be exercised. It is hoped that the urban planning education in China can be improved.
