Preparation and Photocatalytic Properties of CeO2/BiOI Composites

摘要 以Ce(NO3)3·6H2O为原料,采用煅烧法制备了CeO2。以EDTA为螯合剂,采用水热法制备了不同摩尔比CeO2/BiOI复合光催化剂。利用X射线衍射、扫描电子显微镜、透射电子显微镜、紫外-可见漫反射光谱和光致发光光谱等测试手段对产物的结构、形貌和光吸收性能等进行了表征,并在可见光下,研究了复合光催化剂对亚甲基蓝的光催化降解性能。结果表明:CeO2与BiOI的摩尔比为3:7的复合光催化剂(CB-3)的光催化活性最高,90 min对亚甲基蓝的降解率几乎达到100%。光催化性能的提高主要是由于光生电子空穴对的有效分离。 CeO2 powder was obtained by a calcination method with Ce(NO3)3.6H2O as a raw material. CeO2/BiOI composite photocatalysts were prepared by a hydrothermal process with ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid(EDTA) as a chelating agent. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy, respectively. The photocatalytic activity of CeO2/BiOI photocatalyst was investigated via the degradation of methyl blue dye(MB) under visible light irradiation. The results show that CeO2/BiOI with a molar ratio(CeO2 to BiOI) of 3:7 has the optimum photocatalytic activity and the degradation rate of MB is approximately 100% after photoreaction for 90 min. The enhancement of the photocatalytic property is mainly due to the effective separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.
