In July 2018, the trading in the interbank RMB market has been active and totaled 93.1 trillion yuan, up 17.24% month-on-month; the average daily trading worth was 4.23 trillion yuan, up 6.58% month-on-month. The liquidity in the interbank money market maintained accommodative, and the money market interest rates edged up slightly only during the mid-month tax payment time. The average daily trading volume of the cash bond market increased. The short end of interest rate bonds went down, while the long end maintained range bound. With the returning of credit risk appetite, the credit spreads narrowed down. The IRS transaction scaled down, and the IRS prices declined.
