元嘉时期政治斗争的残酷性、宫廷文化环境的低俗化、文帝北伐失败的负面影响导致刘劭之变发生。刘劭之变阻遏了刘宋皇族儒化进程,引领统治者以权位维护作为施政重心,改变了朝廷与地方州郡、皇帝与诸王的关系格局,并促成了社会阶层的变动。

Various factors such as cruel nature of Yuanjia politics,vulgarization of cultural environment in royal court and failure of northern expedition launched by Emperor Wen facilitated Liushao event. The event stopped the process of Confucianiation for Liu Song royal family and Led the rulers taking the maintenance of regime as center of administration,changed the relationship of central and local governments and the relationship of emperor and royal,and facilitated alteration of stratum.
