国家规模和国家管理成本之间关系的研究,对分析国家大小的优势和劣势意义重大。通过分析不同规模和人口数量的国家,从公共支出、公共管理成本、社会服务支出、经济服务支出和国防支出方面,联系其人口数量、GNP大小以及人均收入等指标来比较其差异,发现大国的行政管理、公共服务供给和国防,综合起来在规模经济上是有优势的。

The research into the relationship between country size and administration cost is of great importance to the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of size of nations. Taken the countries with different size and populations as research objects, this paper tries to analyze the public expenditure, administration cost, social service expenditure, economic service expenditure and national defence expenditure in relation to its population, GNP and income per capita and concludes that the economies of scale in relation to the administration, public services and the national defence as a whole are on balance advantageous.
