With the continuous development of the social economy,the power grid is also expanding its coverage. As an important resource,electricity has a huge impact on industrial production and residents＇ lives. Transformer is one of the indispensable equipments in the power system. It bears the heavy responsibility of voltage exchange and power distribution and transmission,and is of great significance to the safe and stable operation of the entire power system. In this paper,the common transformer operation faults are analyzed in detail,and several effective solutions are proposed：to do a good job in transformer maintenance,fully understand the performance of the transformer,find faults in time and solve them,and ensure the safety and stability of the transformers for the employees.
