外国人名地名汉译名不统一给各种媒体的受众带来了不必要的困扰。造成译名不统一的原因不一而足,有历史原因所致,有使用者不遵守相关规范造成,有对归化、异化选择不同而形成,也有译者以不同方言音译造成。相关管理部门需区别对待,尽量统一外国人名地名的译名,以免混淆视听。

Abstract： The inconsistencies of Chinese translations of foreign human and geographical names havecaused a lot of distractions to audiences of various media. Such inconsistencies may be due to historical reasons, ormay be caused by translators who do not obey relevant rules or translators who use different dialects intransliteration. They may as well be the results of differences in choices of domestication or foreignization. Whateverare the causes, the authorities must take measures accordingly to avoid such inconsistencies so that the audiencesmight no longer be distracted.
