现代性批判是马克思主义的主题。哲学意义上的"现代性"是指启蒙运动所塑造的理性、科学、自由、权利等意识观念和行为方式,其世俗基础是现代化进程中建构起来的市场经济、工业化、都市化、民主政治、法治社会等现代社会体系和社会模式。作为现代社会意识形态的哲学意义上的"现代性"具有双重功用:一重是作为现代社会的反映,是现代社会的时代本质、精神表征,是现代社会的思想基础;一重是作为反思"现代性问题"的现代性批判,是对现代价值观念的批判和对现代性问题的反省。从马克思主义的现代性批判维度出发,现代性的本质是资本现代性,资本主导的现代化"祛魅"进程是现代性价值观念的动力来源,同时,也是导致现代性危机和现代性问题的罪魁祸首。

Criticism of modernity is the subject of Marxism. Modernity in the philosophical sense refers to the ideology and behaviors of reason,science,freedom,and rights that the Enlightenment has shaped.Its secular foundation is a modern social system and social model such as market economy,industrialization,urbanization,democratic politics,and a society ruled by law.Modernity in the philosophical sense of modern social ideology has a dual function.It is a reflection of modern society,the essence of the times and the spiritual representation of modern society,and the ideological foundation of modern society.It is a critique of modernity as a reflection on the issue of modernity,a critique of modern values and a reflection on the issue of modernity. Starting from the critical dimension of Marxist modernity,the essence of modernity is the modernity of capital. The capital-led modern disenchantment process is the source of power for modern values,and it is also the chief culprit in the crisis of modernity and modernity.
