为探索经济动物的概念、经济动物在我国动物生产、科学研究及行业高级人才培养方面的地位与意义,文中通过查阅资料、调查、咨询,对经济动物的概念进行追溯、辨析和界定,并对经济动物生产的地位和意义、经济动物的科研系统、经济动物的人才培养体系、经济动物的未来发展之路进行了阐述和分析。以期为经济动物正名,并为同行提供参考。

In order to explore the concept, the position and significance for animal production, scientific research and related senior talent training of economic animal in China, the concept of economic animal was traced, analyzed and defined through consulting data, investigation and consultation in this article. While, both status and significance of economic animal production, scientific research system, talent cultivation system, as well as the future development of economic animal were expounded and analyzed to justify the name of economic animal and provide references for the peers.
