New York University has set up a campus in Shanghai Pudong and has opened its doors for enrollment. This is the first higher learning joint venture in China.The New York University(NYU Shanghai) was founded by New York University in Manhattan, New York City in the U. S. in collaboration with East China Normal University in east China.The university always recruits more than 150 undergraduate’s degree Chinese students every year.NYU Shanghai plans to recruit more than 200 students worldwide for undergraduate programs this year. Yu Lizhong is the first president of NYU Shanghai. For the first, the president is not a relaxed job. Many questions and problems are waiting to solved and answered.When a graduate looks for a job, his or her alma mater’s reputation has a great impact on the potential employers. As a joint venture university, NYU Shanghai is more competitive than some of Chinese counterparts. New York University is the top university in U.S, and East China Normal University plays an important role in Chinese higher education. Graduates have two diplomas.
