从追求生命的完善角度上讲,许子鹤主动选择革命道路顺理成章。《苍茫大地》用朴素的方式,使读者理解了"革命"与"救中国""为人民"一体,乃是一个时代知识分子的理想,由此也完成了作为革命者的许子鹤与"传统人格"的对接。《苍茫大地》选取的许子鹤的形象是以往文学史未曾着力描写过的,也是文学与史学成果互动的结果,是革命历史叙事"当代化"的重要表征。

From the perspective of pursuing the perfection of life,Xu Zihe takes the revolutionary path initiatively and rationally because at that time an intellectual＇s ideal is to put into revolution,which equals to saving China and serving the people. In order to make it well understood by the readers, The Sky and Earth highlights Xu＇s change from a traditional character to a revolutionary in a plain mode of narrative,which has never been described in the past literary history. It is the outcome of the interaction between lit erature and history,and thus serves as an important representation of the ＂Modernization＂ of the revolu tionary historical narrative.
