The influence of personality traits on the use of mobile social networks:The moderating role of gender

采用问卷法对2 056名青少年进行测量。结果发现:外向性和神经质人格与移动社交网络使用具有显著正向关系,而开放性、谨慎性和宜人性对移动社交网络有显著负向相关;外向性和神经质人格对移动社交网络使用具有显著的正向预测;性别在神经质与移动社交网络使用间起到调节作用。结论:人格特质对移动社交网络使用具有影响,并且高神经质的女生更易产生移动社交网络过度使用行为。

A questionnaire survey was conducted among 2 056 adolescents. The results find that： There was a significant positive relationship between extroversion, neuroticism and the use of the mobile social network, and openness, agreeableness, consciousness have significant negative con＇elation with mobile social networks; Extroversion and neuroticism has significant positive prediction for the use of mobile social network; Gender plays a moderating role between neuroticism and the use of mobile social networks. Therefore, personality traits have an impact on the use of mobile social networks, and high neuroticism girls are more likely to overuse the mobile social networks than others.
