改革开放是新时期最鲜明的特点,是当代中国命运的关键抉择,是发展中国特色社会主义和中华民族伟大复兴的必经之路。改革开放四十年的历史首先是从思想领域开始的,是在反思建国之后的历史尤其是"文革"和"两个凡是"的基础上拉开大幕的。在解放思想成为一个政治问题的时代,反思党和国家的历史才能更好地解决新问题,迎接新挑战,开启新未来。可以认为,改革开放四十年的历史就是一部不断反思、不断进取的历史,反思是改革开放四十年留给共产党人和中华民族的最大精神财富和最有价值的启示。在新的历史条件下,不忘初心、牢记使命,更应当继承学会反思、善于反思的良好传统,始终保持反思的定力和毅力,为新时代铸就新气象,实现新作为。

Reform and opening up is the most distinctive feature of the New Era, a crucial choice for the fate of contemporary China, and the only way which must be passed to the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The history of the 40 years of reform and opening up started from the thought field, and it was opened on the basis of reflection on the history of the People＇s Republic of China, especially the ＂Cultural Revolution＂ and ＂Two Whatevers＂. In an era when emancipating the mind has become a political issue, only by reflecting on the history of the party and the country can we better solve new problems, meet new challenges and open a new future. It can be argued that the40 years＇ history of reform and opening up is a history of continuous reflection and progress. Reflection is the greatest spiritual wealth and most valuable inspiration left to the Communist Party and the Chinese nation during the 40 years of reform and opening up. Under the new historical conditions, we should remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind. More importantly, we should continue to learn the fine tradition of reflection and be good at reflecting, maintain the steadiness and perseverance of reflection to cast a new look for the New Era and realize new actions.
