On the Climate Change of Yellow River Basin in the Neolithic Age

距今10000年—8000年,新石器时代黄河中下游地区气候开始变暖,较今天温暖潮湿。距今8000年—4000年,黄河中下游地区为亚热带气候,中间曾有气候波动。亚热带与温带的分界线东段到山东北部,经河南北部一直延伸到陕西关中地区。距今4000年,气候虽然变干变凉,但黄河中下游地区仍然为亚热带气候。黄河上游的甘青地区与黄河中下游地区气候变化的大趋势呈现一致性,但气温相对较低,降水相对较少。距今4000年,甘青地区气候明显变干变凉。气候的变化对植被类型、人类活动、社会文化发展影响甚大。

Comparing to today, the climate began to get warmer in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River region between 10,000 to 8,000 years ago. The middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River basin was subtropical climate from 8,000 to 4,000 years ago, while climate fluctuated within the era. The boundary belween the subtropical and temperate zones was across the north of Shandong and Henan provinces as well as Guanzhong area in Shanxi province. 4000 years ago, even though the climate got cooler and drier, the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River basin was still subtropical climate. The climate of Gansu and Qinghai provinces kept similar climate trends with the Yellow River basin, while the two provinces had lower and drier climate. The climate change had a tremendous impacts on the plant type, human activities , social and euhural development.
