As a part of the reform of higher education, flipped classroom has triggered a series of changes in the role of teachers,curriculum models and management models, and has received extensive attention from the education community. By analyzing the concept, characteristics and advantages of flipped classroom,specific teaching cases are introduced, and the necessity and practicality of applying flipped classroom teaching mode in English reading teaching of higher vocational colleges are put forward.
