美剧幽默语的字幕翻译研究——以《生活大爆炸》为例

Study on subtitle translation of humor in American drama: taking the “Big Bang Theory of Life” as an example

美国情景喜剧以独特的"美式"幽默,轻松诙谐的人物对白吸引了大批中国观众。而幽默语的字幕翻译在情景喜剧中起着至关重要的作用。本文以汉斯弗米尔的目的论理论为依据,选取美国情景喜剧《生活大爆炸》为个例资料研究。作者通过多遍观看归纳研究,将这部剧的幽默类型分为4种,即与文化相关的幽默、通用式幽默,双关语幽默和与科学相关的幽默。本文精选了一些例子,利用目的论3个原则中最重要的目的原则,剖析每一个例子,从而对4种幽默各自研究出一些较为合适的翻译方法。

A growing number of Chinese audiences have been fascinated by American sitcom with its witty character dialogues and unique ＂American humor＂. The translation of humor occupies a very important position in the field of subtitle translation. This thesis takes The ＂Big Bang Theory of Life＂ as the case research object. Four categories are analyzed and divided into： culture-related humor, universal humor, wordplay humor and humor concerning science. By analyzing these examples of good Chinese versions in light of skopos theory, the paper tries to come up with some proper methods for each category.
