摘要
近几年来,虽然众多学术类课程教师十分注重提高大学生的学术英语口头交流能力,但却面临着教学资源严重不足的困境。笔者提出在课堂教学之外,增设课外观摩任务,以便拓展教学资源,同时培养学生对专业学术会议发言特征的敏感性。笔者通过MAXQDAAnalyticsPro分析学生撰写的观摩报告,得出学生观摩过程中的关注点,同时也分析了关注点与学习者特征和会议特征的关联性。尽管研究结果仍需进一步探讨,但是对大学学术口语课程的开展具有一定的借鉴意义。
EAP practitioners often find themselves inadequate due to a dearth of authentic resources that they could draw on when teaching EAP learners how to boost their academic oral presentations. Observations of professionals in real academic context may overcome this impediment and acculturate EAP learners with a keener sense of academic presentations. MAXQDA results showed what "notices" in learners' observations were and to what extent these "notices" were associated with learners and meeting features. Despite that findings of the study need to be further explored, they may offer some pedagogical implications for EAP.
