基于关键词的科技论文标题英译方法研究

On the English Translation Methods of the Titles of Scientific Papers Based on Keywords

本文结合国内对科技论文标题英语翻译的研究现状和实际情况,提出了基于关键词的科技论文标题的英语翻译方法。选取1999至2015年期间国外权威期刊工程类论文为研究对象,通过数据统计,客观分析标题与关键词之间的关系。简介如何使用在线翻译工具准确翻译关键词,实例说明标题英译的具体过程,并指出目前在线翻译工具的不足之处。在人工翻译占主体地位的情况下,该方法能满足翻译的"信"、"达"标准,有助于提高科技论文标题的翻译质量。

Based on the research status and the actual situation of the English translation of titles of scientific paper, this paper proposes the English translation method based on keywords for scientific paper title translation. Engineering papers（ 1999-2015）of foreign authoritative journals were retrieved and screened. By studying the papers, the relationship between the title and key words was objectively analyzed through data statistics. It introduces how to use online translation tools to translate the key words accurately, takes an example to illustrate the specific process of the English translation of the title, and points out the shortcomings of the current online translation tools. In the background of manual translation as the major translation means, this method can satisfy the basic translation criterion of faithfulness and expressiveness, which can help improve the translation quality of scientific paper titles.
