French cultural diplomacy: History, Characteristic and Enlightenment

文化与外交结合由来已久,在全球化不断深入的今天,世界各国开始重视在外交中传播本国文化,通过文化外交来实现国家总体外交目标。法国是文化外交强国,在文化外交上颇有建树。但同样作为世界文化强国的中国,却在国际社会上面临着诸如国家形象不佳、文化传播不力等现实问题。鉴于此,通过梳理法国文化外交历史及特点,总结其成功经验,因地制宜地用于我国,推动我国文化外交事业的不断发展。

The combination of culture and diplomacy has started since long time ago. In the deepening of globalization, the world has begun paying attention to the dissemination of national culture in the diplomacy, and achieve the country’s overall diplomacy objectives through the cultural diplomacy. France is cultural diplomacy power which has a lot of achievements in this way. However, also as a world cultural power, China is facing the realistic problems in the international community such as poor country’s image and cultural dissemination. In view of this, the article summarizes French successful experience by combing the history and characteristics of its cultural diplomacy, adjusting measures to local conditions in our country, and promote the continuous development of China’s cultural diplomacy undertaking.
