On the Design Concepts of "Jianguo Dinnerware"

祝大年是中华人民共和国成立以来著名的陶瓷艺术家,在陶瓷艺术设计方面成就卓著。"建国瓷"是其早期最具代表性的陶瓷设计作品,它很好地体现了如下观念:整体性的设计,艺术家与手工艺人、艺术与技术的结合,古为今用、洋为中用。

Zhu Da-nian has been a famous ceranfic artist since the founding of PRC, and has achieved great accomplishment in the art of ceramic design. ＂Jianguo Dinnerware＂ is a representative among his early ceramic design work,which perfectly embodies the following concepts as the holistie design, the combination of artists and craftsmen as well as art and technology-, foreign used by the Chinese and ancient by today.
