Tian Qiu＇s Admonition to My Sons（Jie Zi Shu） has its own characteristics and value. While reading the article, we will not only be impressed by his thoughts and personality, but also get acquainted with the time and place in which he lived. As for characteristics of the article, he first＂warned＂descendants, hoping to motivate them by telling his own stories in life; second, he inspired and taught them by starting with his own experiences of growing up, setting an example and making use of demonstration effect and the strength of a model; third, from the standpoint of descendants, he advocated the＂conservation＂of family and private property, but clearly required them to resolutely refuse improper＂interests from power＂, which meant the interests obtained by virtue of power.
