印太战略目前还是一个正在发展的概念。美国和印度作为印太战略框架内最重要的两大政治体,两国关系的历史基础、现状及未来发展的不确定性,将在很大程度上决定印太战略的地缘格局演变。由于美印之间一直缺乏平等和尊重,存在差异和分歧,再加上中印关系和中美关系的影响,以及"印太"区域内国家的态度等因素,目前印度尚未显出在印太战略上与美国携手或相向而行的迹象,印太战略也远非凝聚美、印、日、澳四国共识的基本定型的"战略"。在可预见的将来,印太战略还会是美国主唱、结局难料的一个戏码。
